Gut Healthy Probiotic Cocktails

Say what?! A Gut Healthy Probiotic Cocktail! Yep, that’s right. Today I will show you how to make this delicious concoction.

This month for The Recipe Redux Monthly Challenge was to make a Probiotic Cocktails and Gut-Health Mocktails!

We’re seeing probiotic cocktails and gut-health mocktails popping up on trendy drink menus.

Our Gut Health is truly an important factor in our overall health.  If we have poor gut health it will show up in other areas affecting our overall health.

We’ve all heard the saying, “listen to your gut.” And while that advice often refers to our intuition, it should also speak to our digestion.

One way I like to support my gut health is to drink Kombucha!

What is Kombucha?

Kombucha is a fermented beverage consisting of black tea and sugar (from various sources, including cane sugar, fruit or honey) that’s used as a functional, probiotic food. It contains a colony of bacteria and yeast that are responsible for initiating the fermentation process once combined with sugar.

In today’s recipe, I used Revive Kombucha Wild Ginger Lime. I was at Whole Foods and saw this Kombucha and instantly thought Moscow Mule! One of my fav drinks! But usually, the Ginger Beer that is added to this drink is very high in sugar.

What Are Probiotics?

Probiotics are good bacteria that primarily line your gut and are responsible for nutrient absorption and supporting your immune system
