Air Fryer Apple Chips

Air fryer apple chips are a quick, healthy snack that you can easily make at home. Here’s a simple recipe for crispy and delicious apple chips:

Ingredients:

  • 2 apples (any variety, though Granny Smith, Fuji, or Honeycrisp work well)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • A pinch of salt (optional)
  • Lemon juice (optional, to prevent browning)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Apples:
    • Wash the apples thoroughly.
    • Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, slice the apples thinly (about 1/8 inch thick).
    • If you want to prevent browning, lightly brush the slices with lemon juice.
  2. Season:
    • Lay the apple slices on a tray or a clean surface.
    • Lightly sprinkle cinnamon and a pinch of salt over the slices if desired. You can leave them plain if you prefer natural apple flavor.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
  4. Air Fry the Apple Slices:
    • Place the apple slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overlapping slices for even cooking.
    • Cook the apple slices at 300°F (150°C) for about 15-20 minutes. Flip the slices halfway through to ensure even crispiness.
    • Keep an eye on them in the last few minutes to avoid burning. Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model and the thickness of the slices.
  5. Cool and Store:
    • Remove the apple chips and let them cool on a wire rack. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
    • Store them in an airtight container for up to a week.

Enjoy your crispy, sweet, and healthy apple chips!
