Air Fryer Apple Chips
Description
Air fryer apple chips are a quick, healthy snack that you can easily make at home. Here’s a simple recipe for crispy and delicious apple chips:
Ingredients:
Instructions
-
Prep the Apples:
- Wash the apples thoroughly.
- Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, slice the apples thinly (about 1/8 inch thick).
- If you want to prevent browning, lightly brush the slices with lemon juice.
-
Season:
- Lay the apple slices on a tray or a clean surface.
- Lightly sprinkle cinnamon and a pinch of salt over the slices if desired. You can leave them plain if you prefer natural apple flavor.
-
Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
-
Air Fry the Apple Slices:
- Place the apple slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overlapping slices for even cooking.
- Cook the apple slices at 300°F (150°C) for about 15-20 minutes. Flip the slices halfway through to ensure even crispiness.
- Keep an eye on them in the last few minutes to avoid burning. Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model and the thickness of the slices.
-
Cool and Store:
- Remove the apple chips and let them cool on a wire rack. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
- Store them in an airtight container for up to a week.
