Taco Tuesday
Best Taco’s!!
Taco Tuesday is a favorite meal in our house! Ever since the Lego Movie came out we have dedicated every Tuesday to TACO TUESDAY!! Have you seen that movie? Its a fav in our house. This taco meat is so simple to make and perfect for loading up on soft or hard shell tacos and topping with all your favorites!
What is the best meat to use for Taco Meat?
The best meat to use for taco meat is simple grass-fed ground beef, a 70-80% lean. We personally in our house use Elk, Deer or Moose meat depending on what we have on hand.
What spices are in Taco Meat?
I’ve been keeping it simple and just using TACO SEASONING but if I don’t have any on hand I made a homemade version that is amazing! The spices that are used in this homemade taco seasoning are chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
If you want to add a bit more heat you could add a bit of crushed red pepper as needed.
How do you make Taco Meat?
This recipe is super simple to follow and easy to make. We start with the ground beef, (or whatever meat you are using!) cook it up until it’s completely browned. Drain the grease, if needed. Then when we return to the heat to the stove lower the heat, add the homemade taco seasoning and water.
