Hi I’m Kristin this is My Story!

Hi!

I just wanted to write this blog and tell you a little bit about myself and my story! For those of you that have been following me for a while I’m glad you are here and that you have continued to support this wonderful fitness journey.

For those of you that are new welcome! I am so glad you are here!

I have been a little quiet over here lately. Still going strong on Facebook and Instagram.  I have been doing a lot of research and studying trying to figure out the direction I want to go with my fitness business. I am so excited for all the new knowledge I want to share. Delicious recipes I’ve made.

But first!

Hi I’m Kristin! I am a wife to a wonderful loving husband. We’ve been married for 12 1/2 years! We have two beautiful children that are the world to us! Life is crazy, busy and wonderful. I have a passion for helping others meet their health and wellness goals!  I am loving this journey. And so thankful for my husband to support my dream of running my own business.

I grew up in Colorado and only moved away for three short years. When my husband accepted a job in Arizona. I’ve always loved fitness. I was on the swim team growing up and played tennis for one season during seventh grade. I bought several yoga VHS tapes, Denise Austin workout videos as well as Tae Bo with Billy Banks. (Am I dating myself!?) Even in high school I took a kickboxing class as well as a dance class.

Fast Forward a few years….

My husband and I joined a gym after our first was born. I really enjoyed working out we would take Jack to the gym daycare so we could get our sweat. After our workout we would  pick him up and take him swimming at the gym pool. It was a blast but the Mommy guilt kicked in! I was feeling guilty for working all day then heading straight to the gym and putting him in day care again… So we canceled our membership and I continued to workout at home.

3 Years Later…

We welcomed our baby girl into our family in 2007.

It wasn’t until I had my second child that I took my first workout class.  This was right up my alley!! I got to workout with my kids! No more Mommy guilt!  I fell in love with this class. It was called Stroller Fit. We met at our local Mall before it opened. We would run with our jogging strollers, do sit ups, lunges, squats, and band work….. Then after we let the kids play while we cooled down.

“I have joined a StrollerFit exercise class with the kids and we LOVE it! Its so much fun and a GREAT work out!
I am going to try and get my Personal Trainers License so I can teach a StrollerFit class in Anthem Arizona!”

Big Move!

We moved to Arizona shortly after I found this class. But it inspired me to get certified. I had decided that Stroller Fit was something I would love to teach. I could work and be with my kids at the same time.  Before I finished getting certified I set up a meeting with the local gym in Arizona, told them about my stroller fit idea and she loved it. They currently had a program like this but the trainer was going to be moving soon. It was perfect everything was lining up! I got certified so I called the manager at the gym all excited all to find out that the other trainer end up not moving and they no longer needed a class like this. Bummer….

I didn’t let it get me down I just decided to go into another direction! Another passion of mine was/is photography. So I started a photography business. Photography By Kristin  I loved it and had a blast taking Wedding, Senior, family, newborn pictures. During this time I also started an in home day care I watched up to 8 kids. This was another perfect job for me again I could be with my kids and bring in some money for the family as well.

Time went on and we decided to move back to Colorado. Photography was still going pretty well but not as great as in Arizona. I knew it was time to do something else but what!? Fitness! So I renewed my Fitness Trainer certification and got certified in Fitness Nutrition. During this time I also started selling Shaklee product. I started training my first one on one client and loved it! I slowly added more one on one training clients.

Again I decided it was time to expand I got certified to teach a BeyondFit Boot Camp. February of this year I taught a bootcamp at my daughter’s Ballet school up until this summer. That was a blast and I had some great ladies who worked out each week! I am hoping to run another boot camp in the near future. I wanted a way to reach more people to help them with their health and fitness goals so I started offering online and nutrition training which is growing and my clients are seeing great results so far!

On top of all this you might not know that I’m a landlord and have been one for over 8 years. What!?  I am also a Property Manager for my FIL’s rentals! =)
